✨ IMPORTANT NOTES
This is a deeply personal, often heavy series. We’re telling stories about trauma, healing, queerness, complicated family, and loss. If you’re someone who thrives in grounded, emotional scenes — even the quiet ones — we want to hear from you.
We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for truth.
❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this a paid opportunity?
No. All projects are unpaid and independently produced. This is a grassroots, passion-led production. We can’t offer money — but we can offer real collaboration, creative community, and something deeply meaningful to be part of.
Do I need professional acting experience?
Nope. We’re not looking for perfect — we’re looking for real. If you can bring emotional honesty and connect with the material, that’s more important than any resume.
Can I audition for more than one role?
Yes! You can audition for multiple roles. You will, however, only get chosen for one. We want each actor to fully connect with who they’re reading for.
Do I have to live in Kentucky?
We strongly suggest all our actors to live in Lexington, KY prior, but you must at least live in the United States and be fully able to travel to Lexington, KY for rehearsals and filming (and possibly other locations for Before The Fall). Transportation and lodging are not guaranteed, so please keep that in mind before submitting.
What should the monologue be?
Choose a 1–2 minute piece from a published play, film, or TV script — no original writing. Pick something that speaks to the emotional depth of the roles you’re going for. Be sure to cite the piece (title + author/show) in your email.
Should I audition even if I’m unsure?
Yes. If something about this project speaks to you — even if it’s just a whisper — take the leap. You don’t have to be certain or polished. You just have to be honest. We’d rather see an imperfect truth than a flawless mask.
I’m LGBTQ+ / neurodivergent. Can I still audition?
Absolutely. These stories are about outsiders, survivors, and the people who live in the in-between. You’re not just welcome — you belong.
