good news!
Alice Across The Land will officially start back up in 2026, going into 2027! we’ve updated the way we are doing things, and i figured i’d tell everyone on the website first, before we start audition promo
here’s how casting will work this time around:
we’re keeping the online-first approach, but we’re tightening it up so it actually runs smoothly. everything will start with video auditions, unless you were part of the previous cast and you want to reprise your role. in that case, you’re already good. we know your work, we know your energy, we know how you fit into this world.
after the video round, we’ll bring a select group in for in-person callbacks. these won’t be anything wild, as it is just a chance for us to see how people handle direction, chemistry, timing, etc. you’ll meet me, and probably a couple original cast members who already understand the tone and shape of the show from experience.
location matters. when we say “lexington,” we mean lexington. everyone needs to actually be close enough to show up on time, consistently, without drama. we learned the hard way that enthusiasm online doesn’t mean reliability in real life.
commitment matters even more.
– excused absences are fine. life happens.
– but you’ll need to make them up, no exceptions.
– unexcused absences are where we start having problems.
– too many, and you’ll be cut.
the waitlist basically works like an understudy system: if the main actor can’t consistently show up or flakes too often, the waitlisted actor gets the role. yes, it’s a time crunch, but it keeps the production alive and actually moving.
rehearsals won’t be chaotic this time.
we’re not cramming everything into weekends anymore. once dance is off my plate, we’ll be able to run rehearsals like a normal production—predictable, manageable, steady. weekends will still be our anchor, but not the only time we meet.
the whole system repeats for round two of casting, secondary characters, guest roles, the smaller but still important faces in the world of alice across the land.
and that’s the plan.
i also want to make it extremely clear:
Before The Fall does not have a set release year anymore for two reasons:
1. a potential alice across the land season 2, which would start right after season 1
2. film logistics, we only have a first draft of the film script as of now.
we promise that Before The Fall and Before The Flames will release in due time, when we have the avaliability to fully commit to them.
love you guys,
